HRRRNNNGGG 60s big block American steel.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

All I can imagine is just cruising around during the summer with the windows down and three friends, getting about 5 miles to the gallon. Looking damn good doing it though.

If that’s a “how” situation, you don’t wanna see the $6000 ‘65 Impala SS I found.

The thing about American cars from that era is that they had a lot of engine options. On the ‘66 Impala there were eight available engines so if you just wanted to cruise you could go with the straight six, not that you would.

Cruising is so much more fun with a 396 big block though.

This is a project has some rust here and there but overall body is good Bad Needs vacuum adancedRebuild distributor Needs to be timed properly Right wheel cylinder started leaking Linkage problems with shifting but reverse and drive okay still.Gauges needs to be reset Upper control arms needs rebushing Radiator work No radio needs some interior refurbishing (All the above should cost under a thousand and all major problems above is priced for labor n parts 500 bucks though a shop I know. Not sure about linkage problem

doubt all can be done for about a thousand.

Exactly. The burble of a big block provides the proper background music to cruise by.

Which is especially important since this one doesn’t have a radio!

In high school a friend of mine had a ‘67 with a 427. It didn’t need no stinkin’ radio either. That man had some serious car ADD. His previous cars included a 72 Chevelle and a Bug. Three cars between the ages of 16 and 18 ranging from the mighty 427 to the chirp of a Bug.

To be fair, with how wishy washy I am with the M3 at all times I might end up in a tie with him on the car ADD count.

There’s a kid in my school that used to get picked up in a seafood green one of these. Or maybe it was a ‘67, I can’t remember.
